Breast Cancer Awareness - 2026
Sri Venkateswaraa University participated in a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme in association with India Turns Pink at Chennai International Airport on 22 October 2026. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about breast cancer, encourage preventive healthcare practices, and highlight the importance of early detection.
The programme was held in the august presence of Smt. Soumiya Anbumani, MLA, with Smt. Atcheya K, Executive Director of Sri Venkateswaraa University, participating as the Guest of Honour. SVU students and staff actively joined the initiative, demonstrating their commitment to community health education and cancer awareness.
The programme emphasized the importance of recognizing potential warning signs, seeking timely medical consultation, and understanding the role of regular screening in breast cancer prevention and early diagnosis.
