About This Course
The Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant is a 4-year undergraduate program (including an internship) designed to train students to provide comprehensive support to physicians in clinical and surgical settings. The program emphasizes developing skills in collecting patient history, assisting doctors in outpatient departments (OPD), maintaining Electronic Medical Records (EMR), supporting surgeries, attending in-patient referrals, managing case sheets, participating in ward rounds, and preparing discharge summaries. By combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical training, the course prepares students for efficient clinical practice and high-quality patient care.
Learning Objectives
To provide students with a strong theoretical and practical foundation in anatomy and physiology, enabling a clear understanding of the human body for effective clinical practice.
To develop proficiency in patient care, ICU management, and diagnostic procedures such as ECG, ECHO, ultrasound, biopsies, and other clinical interventions.
To prepare students for effective patient management and to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue research or higher studies in the field of Physician Assistant.
Facilities
Training in various departments like emergency, OBG, Pediatrics and exposure to ICU, other procedures, observing surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
Career Pathway
After graduation students can work in hospitals as physician assistant in various departments like ICU,cardiology, ortho &OBG . Students can also persue Higher Studies & Research in respective departments.can also work in Healthcare administration and services(medical coding).
