About This Course
The Bachelor of Science in Anaesthesia Technology is a four-year undergraduate program that includes a comprehensive internship. It is designed to educate students on pre- and post-operative care, patient monitoring, and the principles and practices involved in administering anaesthesia. This program provides a thorough understanding of human physiology, pharmacology, and the technology utilized in anaesthetic administration during critical care and surgical procedures. Equipped with the appropriate tools, students are able to assist anaesthesiologists in a variety of clinical environments, such as emergency rooms, intensive care units, and operating rooms. The program guarantees that graduates emerge as capable, competent, and confident healthcare professionals by placing a strong emphasis on both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical training.
Learning Objectives
The primary learning objectives of the Anesthesia Technology program are to equip students with the knowledge and technical skills required to assist in the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia across various clinical settings.
Learn the basic principles of anaesthesia, resuscitation, and pain management.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating anaesthesia equipment, machines, and monitoring systems.
Assist anaesthesiologists in administering anaesthesia and managing patients before, during, and after surgery.
Apply knowledge of pharmacology and human physiology in anaesthetic practice.
Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to patient safety protocols.
